This policy explains how Matter (formerly Siren) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way, and this policy covers them too. We call them all “cookies” here.
Your choice
Apart from the one cookie that remembers your choice, we don’t set any cookies unless you click Accept. If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics run at all. You can change your mind at any time; if you withdraw consent we delete the analytics cookies we can reach.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. The site works fully without them.

The “Keep me in the loop” form doesn’t set cookies. How we handle the details you give it is explained in our privacy notice.
Lawful basis and your rights
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR regulation 6) for analytics cookies. Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time.
